Following the resounding success of the first edition of the Alpe Adria Transnational Forum, organized with the support of the European Notarial Network (ENN) and co-funded by the EU, experienced notaries and legal experts from Italy, Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia will gather once again for a second edition. This year, the event will take place in the picturesque town of Bad Radkersburg, Austria, located right on the border with Slovenia. The participants will focus on practical cases concerning the application of Regulation (EU) No 650/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the Succession Regulation).
Delegations from each of the four countries will present and discuss real-world cases on the regulation’s application, sharing their insights and legal approaches. This promises to be a valuable learning experience, offering a unique opportunity to explore and compare differences in practice across borders. By the end of the day, the participants will draft conclusions based on their discussions, reflecting on how the regulation is being applied in diverse legal contexts.
The event will be broadcasted via zoom and will be held entirely in English, offering a chance for notaries and legal professionals from across Europe to follow the discussions and the valuable insights shared during this mutual-learning experience.
This forum is not just limited to the four participating countries, but open to any legal professional interested in the challenges and nuances of cross-border succession cases. Join to learn from the experiences of others and deepen your understanding of this critical European regulation.
