The complexities of cross-border inheritance in Europe can now be more easily managed with the help of a new factsheet detailing essential tools and legal principles. Notaries will have now a new tool to assist them in communicating with their clients offering clear explanations and practical guidance.
The factsheet is based on a real-life case study and provides simple explanations on the application of the European Succession regulation. Moreover, useful links to reliable resources for more detailed information are included.
This initiative is the result of collaboration between the European Network of Registers of Wills’ Association (ENRWA), the Fédération Royale du Notariat Belge (FRNB), and the European Notarial Network (ENN). It aims to make European succession law more accessible to the growing number of people affected by cross-border inheritance issues.
