New handbook on the Ukrainian crisis - Practical issues for the notaries of Europe

The Handbook Ukraine Crisis – Practical Issues for the Notaries of Europe was prepared by the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE) in consultation with the Ukrainian Chamber of Notaries and with the support of the European Commission.

Conceived as a reference tool, the Handbook provides a brief introduction to Ukrainian family, inheritance and real estate law, describes the situation of vulnerable persons, and establishes the basics of company law. Temporary legislative provisions affecting the areas of competence of notaries, information on existing registers and a table with the instruments of Ukrainian law and their condition of validity were also provided.

The main purpose of this Handbook is to get acquainted with the main features of Ukrainian national legislation in the above-mentioned areas and their impact on notarial activity. It is designed to assist EU legal professionals in performing their functions and to assist in the resolution of issues arising during the provision of legal services to displaced persons in the countries of their temporary stay.

The handbook will soon be available in 19 languages.
