In the framework of the EU co-funded project ENN, the Austrian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries organized on the 22nd of November a seminar addressing challenges and experiences related to the application of the EU regulation on succession. The event took place in the context of the Austrian presidency of the European Council and facilitated discussion and networking opportunities with the European Affairs Commission (CAE) of the International Union of Notaries.
The event put the focus on practical issues such as identification and assessment of the value of succession property abroad and the experience with the European Certificate of Succession, national decisions, recognition and registration in the land register. Around 90 notaries and legal practitioners coming from different EU countries, as well as participants from the European Commission, attended the ENN seminar. See more
